Nicolette Winter

Nicolette Winter represents clients on employment related matters, with experience defending claims for discrimination, retaliation, harassment, whistleblowing, wrongful termination, and other matters in state and federal court and before administrative agencies.

Ms. Winter previously practiced at the Department of the Corporation Counsel in Honolulu in the Litigation Division, defending the City and City employees in state and federal litigation, including employment litigation. Before that, Ms. Winter served as a law clerk for the Honorable Lisa M. Ginoza, former Chief Judge at the Intermediate Court of Appeals, and current Associate Justice of the Hawai‘i Supreme Court.

Ms. Winter graduated first in her class at the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law, with CALI Awards in Constitutional Law I, Constitutional Law II, Advanced Torts and Insurance, Water Rights, and Family Law.

Ms. Winter is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in Hawai‘i, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
