Jessica M. Van Steenbergen
Jessica M. Van Steenbergen represents and defends employers against discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower, wrongful termination, unemployment insurance appeals, and other employment-related claims. In addition, Mrs. Van Steenbergen advises employers on matters including employee discipline, and leave issues under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act (USERRA).
Prior to joining Marr Jones & Wang, Mrs. Van Steenbergen represented defendants in medical malpractice, personal injury, products liability, and construction defect claims.
During law school, Mrs. Van Steenbergen served as the President of the Law and Business Organization and worked as a program associate in the Pacific-Asian Legal Studies program. In addition, Mrs. Van Steenbergen volunteered as a domestic mediator at the Medication Center of the Pacific.
Mrs. Van Steenbergen is a member of the Hawai‘i State Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of Hawai‘i and the U.S. District Court for the District of Hawai‘i.
