Megumi Sakae

Megumi Sakae represents management in state and federal court and before administrative agencies. She has represented clients in arbitrations before the National Association of Securities Dealers (now known as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) and American Arbitration Association as well as in mediations. Ms. Sakae also advises clients on preventive labor and employee relations practices, including sexual harassment, employment discrimination, employment contracts, severance agreements, protection of trade secrets and restrictive covenants, leave laws, wage and hour compliance, and other employment-related matters.

Prior to joining MJW as an associate in 2007, she represented management in all aspects of labor and employment law at Proskauer Rose LLP in New York City.

Ms. Sakae is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Washington University in St. Louis where she was an associate editor of the law review. During law school, she worked for the Honorable E. Richard Webber in the United States District Court, Eastern District of Missouri and interned with the Department of Justice, Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices in Washington, D.C.

She is licensed to practice in the states of Hawaii and New York.
